Four-Time Recipient Rainsberg Leads Seven Golden Eagles On USCAA All-Academic Team

The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has announced that seven (7) Kent State University at Tuscarawas student athletes have been named to the National All-Academic Team.

On May 8, 2020, the USCAA sent notification to the KSU Tuscarawas athletic office that four spring sport athletes and three non-championship sport athletes have received the award. Four of the Golden Eagles are multi-time recipients of the award. Only student athletes of sophomore standing or higher with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 are eligible to be nominated. The announcements can be found at the following link:

The following players were recognized:

Baseball Kade Rainsberg, Sr. / four-time recipient; Braden Russell, So. / first time recipient; Kyle Stotzer, Sr. / two-time recipient

Non-Championship Sport Athletes – Elliott Dean, So. (wrestling) / two-time recipient & NCWA Academic All-American; Mike Neidenthal, So. (spring golf) first-time recipient; Mitchel Neidenthal, So. (spring golf) first-time recipient

Softball – Karlee Peach, Sr. / two-time recipient

"We are so proud of the academic accomplishments of our student athletes," said Rob Brindley, Athletic Director for Kent State Tuscarawas. "Their dedication to their studies and simultaneous commitment to their teams is commendable. The self-confidence they possess is sometimes maintained by blood, sweat and tears, but always by a ton of sacrifice and a willingness to fight for themselves and their teammates on the field and in the classroom."
