Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2024 Carrollton High School senior to their women's bowling team.

Zoey Elliott recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles.

Elliott was a three-year letter winner for the Warriors bowling team and received Eastern Buckeye Conference (EBC) First Team honors as a senior, Second Team EBC while a junior and Honorable Mention EBC as a sophomore. She was also named All-Stark County First Team and All-Stark County Second team after her senior and junior seasons. Her Warrior teams qualified for the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Championships three consecutive years, while she broke Carrollton's All-Time High Game record with a 266 and led CHS with a 183.66 average which qualified her for the 2024 Junior Gold Championships---an annual national tournament for youth bowlers across the United States.

Academically, she has been on the Honor Roll for three years and Merit Roll for one year, maintaining a 3.8 GPA. She is a three-year Scholar Athlete, a two-year member of the National Honor Society and current NHS Secretary. She went to Girl's State and is on track to earn an Honors Diploma.

She has been very involved in her community as a volunteer spending numerous hours as a Middle School Mentor for the past four years, was involved in an Arbor Day tree planting at CHS and has coached little league bowling.

She will pursue a bachelor's degree in early childhood education at Kent State Tuscarawas.

"Zoey is going to be a great addition to the team," said KSU Tuscarawas Head Women's Bowling Coach Patrick Beckley. "With her ability to continuously throw 200 plus total pin games on a regular basis, she will be a solid anchor for the Golden Eagles bowling team. She's accomplished a great deal on the lanes and in the classroom as well and I expect those passions to continue at KSU Tusc."
