The Kent State Tuscarawas men's basketball team dropped a 69-57 decision to Andrews University on Saturday night in Berrien Springs, MI. It was the Golden Eagles second loss of the season to the Cardinals who won in New Philadelphia 82-61 after a late run in December.

It was a little more of the same again this time as the Navy and Gold trailed by just two points at halftime,30-28, but fell behind by double digits with just six minutes left in the game. The Golden Eagles struggled to shoot the three-ball all night and a disparity in free throw opportunities also impacted the outcome of the game.

KSU Tuscarawas made just 4/18 shots from behind the arc and were sent to the line 13 times less than the Cardinals. Andrews also made 54% of their field goal attempts compared to 32% for the Eagles.

Malik Campbell led the Golden Eagles with 21 points and made 10/20 field goal attempts. He also had seven rebounds. Drew Williams also made it into double figures with 11 points and collected four rebounds.

On Sunday the Golden Eagles will travel to Wright State Lake for a 3 p.m. game against the Lakers to complete their weekend road trip.
