Last season, KSU Tuscarawas forged a come-from-behind victory at home to top Penn State Shenango. There's no doubt that loss bothered the Lions, because they came ready to play and led last night's game throughout, that was, until Arthur Jackson---a transfer to KSU Tusc from Shenango---sunk a momentum swinging game-tying basket with 2:35 left which the Navy and Gold rode to an 85-78 extra period victory on the road.

Jackson's basket was followed by two Braden Rostad free throws and another hoop of his own as the Eagles built a short-lived 66-62 lead with 1:53 left. Shenango fought back and tied the game at 68-68 with :05 left on a three point shot that sent the game to an extra session.

The Lions jumped on top quickly to start overtime for a 70-68 advantage, but the Eagles were the ones to roar back with triples by RaShawn Robinson and Rostad and a two-point jumper by Malik Campbell for a six point lead at 76-70. The Navy and Gold would make 6/7 free throws in the final 1:17 to seal the win outscoring the hosts 17-10 in OT.

In the first half the Eagles made just 1/6 free throws, but capitalized on 14/18 in the final half and overtime. They scored 20 points off of Lion turnovers with 11 steals. From the field the KSU Tusc shot 43% making just 8/31 from behind the three-point arc.

Four Golden Eagles scored in double figures with Jackson leading the way with 18 points and eight boards, while Rostad added 16 markers to go along with six caroms. Jackson also scored the first eight points of the game for KSU. Robinson scored 13 points and dished out six assists and Campbell had 11 points to go along with five rebounds and four assists. Also, Zach Camporese went over the 1000 point mark for his career when he canned a three-point shot with 8:51 left in the opening half of play.

Next on the schedule is the PSU Greater Allegheny Tipoff Classic in McKeesport, PA. The Eagles face off with the hosts at 5 p.m. on Friday and then play PSU Fayette at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
