London Cobbs, a senior guard for Kent State Tuscarawas has been named the USCAA Division II Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week. It is the sixth time since the 2019 season that a Golden Eagles basketball player has won the award.

In a two-game series in Berrien Springs, MI, over the weekend, Cobbs scored a total of 42 points (21ppg), had 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 steals. On Saturday against NCAA DIII, Finlandia University, Cobbs scored 24 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 5 assists, had 3 steals and was 11/14 from the free throw line (79%). He followed that up on Sunday by tallying 18 points against USCAA D2, Andrews University, converting on 8/13 field goal tries, was 2/2 from the charity stripe and had 3 assists.

Cobbs led the Golden Eagles in scoring in 2022 and is on pace to do so again this season. He is currently first on the team in scoring average at 16.4ppg, has scored 394 points which is ranked 11th best in USCAA D2, averages 78% from the free throw line (91-117) putting him fifth overall, and has converted on 48% (148/308) of his field goal tries on the season. Not just a scorer, Cobbs also has 43 steals and 116 rebounds to his credit.

He also earned USCAA Second Team All-American honors in 2022. Earlier this season he eclipsed the 1000 career points mark, which makes him one of three KSU Tusc players to do so during the 2022-23 season. 

London Cobbs leads the offense against Bryant & Stratton Buffalo.
