Eagles Complete Opening Round of Gatorade Collegiate

After getting rained out in their first tournament of the season earlier in the week, the Golden Eagles golf team completed the first round of the Gatorade Collegiate with a team score of 330. The tournament hosted by the College of Wooster is being held at Zoar Village Golf Course and features a 12-team field. The Eagles were slotted in eighth place after the first day of competition.

Sophomore Nick Reeder (North Union/Richwood,OH) led KSU Tusc with a 38/40/78 carding two birdies and 10 pars from the tips of the 6733 yard course. Freshman Cameron McIntosh (Harrison Central/Hopedale,OH) went out in 40 and came home in 42 for an 82 with a birdie and 10 pars as well.

Veteran Dakota Wright (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia,OH) had seven pars on his way to a pair of 42s for a round of 84, and freshman Austin Brooks (Lakeview/Warren,OH) had five pars and birdie to card a 43/43/86.

KSU Tusc will return to action on Sunday in final round play before traveling to the Grove City College Invitational on Thursday, September 9th.
