The Golden Eagles Golf Team traveled to southwestern Ohio on Saturday to participate in the Thunderhawk Invitational at Wildwood Golf Club. The event was an individual stroke play tournament hosted by Miami Middletown and Kent State Tusc's Dakota Wright earned third place on the day.

Wright converted on three birdies and 10 pars for the afternoon in a round of 40/37/77 on the 6719 yard course. He finished with bogies on the last two holes when pars would have tied him for second place with a score of 75.

Two Golden Eagles finished in a tie for fifth place with rounds of 83, as Nick Reeder and Cameron McIntosh both carded a birdie to go along with eight pars. Reeder went out in 39 and came home in 44 and McIntosh shot 40/43, while Austin Brooks shot 46/46/92.

It was the Eagles last tune-up before they host the Golden Eagle Invitational at Oak Shadows Golf Club on Friday, September 24th. Tee time is set for 10:38 a.m.

Nick Reeder saved par from the bunker on hole 10.
