The KSU Tuscarawas Golf Team recorded their fifth consecutive Top 10 finish at the 2021 USCAA National Golf Championships on Tuesday, while number one man, Nick Reeder, earned All-American honors for his efforts in the two-day event held in State College, PA.

The Golden Eagles improved on their opening round team total of 339 by shaving off seven strokes on moving day as they carded a 332 for a two-day total of 671. Their second day improvement allowed them to move up a spot from Monday's finish of tenth. Over the last five seasons the Eagles now have garnered three ninth place finishes, an eighth-place finish and a sixth place in the championships.

Reeder, who opened the championships with an opening round 74 which was good enough for sixth place as an individual, shot a 40/40/80 on the final day and finished fourteenth.  The top 14 finishers in the championships are named All-Americans with seven first teamers and seven second teamers. Reeder had a birdie and 10 pars on Tuesday and ended the tournament with a two-day total of three birdies and 20 pars. He is the fourth Golden Eagles golfer to earn All-American honors at the national championships and the ninth Navy and Gold athlete to do so.

Fellow sophomore, Dakota Wright, closed his inward nine with a flurry of five straight pars---making seven pars over the final nine holes---to record a 38 after shooting 42 on the front nine for a round of 80. Wright had a two-day total of 19 pars and one birdie

Cameron McIntosh improved upon his opening round of 88 with a 44/40/84 and made par on six of his last nine holes. Austin Brooks had a pair of 44s to close with a round of 88.

The Golden Eagles have wrapped up the fall portion of their 2021 schedule.
