After multiple early season weather-related cancellations, the Golden Eagles Golf Team's season finally got underway on Thursday at Grove City College's MBA Invitational in Grove City, PA.  The Eagles finished seventh in a field of 12 teams.

Collectively the Eagles posted an aggregate team score of 334, which was 23 strokes behind tournament champion Westminster College. They finished just two strokes from sixth place, but out-paced eighth place St. Vincent College by 17 strokes.

On a day peppered with high wind gusts, sideways rain and few breaks of sunshine, Nick Reeder shone through and led KSU Tusc into the clubhouse firing a round of 77. He tied for fourth as an individual on a leaderboard that featured 80 golfers, going out in 39 and coming home in 38 finishing his round with a birdie on the final hole.

Dakota Wright was next for the Eagles and carded a 43/40/83 (tied for 28th), while Cameron McIntosh shot 44/41/85 (tied for 37th) and Scott Sauernheimer went 44/45/89 good enough for 46th place overall. Austin Brooks shot 46/50/96.

There's no rest for the Golden Eagles, as they travel to the Thiel Tomcat Invitational held on the Avalon at Buhl Park course located in Sharon, PA on Saturday.
