Rob Brindley is in his sixth year as athletic director for Kent State Tuscarawas. He has directed the implementation of 11 new athletic programs during his tenure and also serves as the men's and women's golf coach. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Kent State University and a Master's from The Ohio State Univeristy and has been employed at Kent State Tuscarawas for 25 years as an instructor, academic advisor, coach and has also served in the student services/admissons area. Over the course of his six year tenure as athletic director, Golden Eagles athletes have earned 31 USCAA Academic All-American honors, 21 USCAA All-American awards, seven USCAA National Top 10 finishes, and seven USCAA National Player of the Week mentions. The 2021-22 golf season marks the 15th year of competition for the Golden Eagles who finished 9th in the country at the USCAA National Championship held on Penn State's Blue Course in Fall 2020, after finishing 9th overall for two consecutive years in Fall 2016 and Fall 2017, 8th in 2018 and 6th in 2019. The team also won the State of Ohio Championship in 2016, finished third (3rd) at the Ohio Regional Campus Conference state tournament (2010), and have won 23 tournament championships and 15 runner-up trophies over the course of their existence. Five Golden Eagles golfers have earned USCAA Academic All-American honors, four have been named USCAA All-American and one has garnered USCAA National Player of the Week. Tryouts are held in July each year to trim the roster to eight (8) golfers.  A spring break golf trip to South Carolina in May is used to determine the roster for the spring season.  The golf team's home course is Oak Shadows Golf Club in New Philadelphia, check out the course here; https://www.oakshadowsgolf.com/.
