Golden Eagles Fall to Otterbein in Final Match of Quad

The Navy and Gold clad wrestlers fought with everything thing they had to try and salvage a second win on the day in their own quad, only to fall to the Otterbein Cardinals 39-18. Things looked good for the hosts who led five matches in the last match of the day and were tied 18-18 after the sixth.

The Cardinals posted five straight wins to close out the match. During that stretch the visitors from Westervillle, OH had four pins, three of them coming in the first period and one coming with under a minute left in the match.

On the day, Collin Mancuso (Milan, OH / Edison) was undefeated in his three matches and had two pins to lead the Golden Eagles, while Carl Chaney (Cleveland, OH  Villa Angela St. Joseph) went 2-0, and Lane Householder (Thornville, OH / Sheridan) and Ray Velez (Cleveland, OH / Villa Angela St. Joseph) were 2-1.
