In the second match of the day at the Case Western Reserve Duals, the Kent State Tuscaraws wrestlers lost to Defiance College 38-8. The Yellow Jackets managed to pin four Golden Eagles on their way to their first win of the day after losing to the host team.

For the Golden Eagles, Mason Contini continued his early success on the day as he recorded his second consecutive win with a 22-11 major decision over Hunter McNutt in the 174lb. weight class. At 149lbs. Kent Tusc's Lane Householder also won by a major decision with a 17-7 win over Defiance's Cortez Bradley. With the win, Householder stood at 1-1 on the afternoon with one match remaining.

In the final match Kent State Tuscarawas would face off with host Case Western Reserve University.
