In a Saturday tri match at Penn State New Kensington, the Golden Eagles looked for retribution for an early season three-set loss and also hoped to continue their dominance over one team. They got 50 percent of the job done as they defeated the host in four sets, but lost in a hard fought three-sets to PSU Shenango.

The Golden Eagles lost 25-18, 26-24 and 25-23 against Shenango in the opening matinee, as they made too many mistakes in losing to the Lions for the second time this season. Following that heartbreaking loss, the Navy and Gold bounced back for a four-set win over PSNK winning the first, third and fourth sets. The Eagles took the first set 25-15, lost the second 25-23, but took a decided advantage over the Nittany Lions in the two final sets winning 25-18 and 25-19.

Karlee Peach had 45 assists on the afternoon---19 against Shenango and 26 versus PSNK---to go along with three service aces. Mya Blochlinger had 18 kills, with 12 coming in the final match of the day. She also added four solo blocks. Morgain Little had 15 kills and three blocks, while Mackenzie Sentz and Ciera Romig had seven kills each and Dessa Dubbert four service aces in the win.

The Eagles are back in action Sunday against Ohio University Lancaster to complete a busy weekend.
