Two Golden Eagles Bowlers Place In Top 5 Of First-Ever OBC Tournament

It was a day of firsts on Saturday for the Kent State Tuscarawas women's bowling team. First, the Golden Eagles fielded their first-ever women's bowling team in the history of the campus. Second, the Navy and Gold had two bowlers place in the top five and three in the top 10 for the tournament. Third, the ladies finished fourth out of five teams in the tournament rolling a team total of 2840 and did it with just four bowlers. Fourth, it was the first-ever tournament held by the newly formed Ohio Bowling Conference (OBC).

The one-day tournament was held at Wayne Webb's Columbus Bowl and is the first of five conference events to be held this season, which will conclude with an OBC Championship in February.

Competing against established varsity teams from Muskingum University, Rio Grande University, Ancilla College, Tiffin University and Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Rybecca Rennie was Kent State Tusc's top performer and rolled a score of 800 for five games to finish second as an individual in a field of 36 women bowlers. She was joined in the top five by Makenna Wimer who placed fifth overall with a score of 722. Elizabeth Henline finished seventh with a 692 and Montana Boyer was fourteenth with a 626.
