Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2020 Louisville High School graduate to their women's bowling team. On September 1, 2020, Carleen Fouts signed a National Letter of Intent to bowl for the Golden Eagles.

Fouts was a two-year letter winner for the Leopards bowling team and earned a Best of Stark County Preps nomination in 2020. She was also a two-time recipient of the Stark County National Division Bowler of the Year award. As a junior and senior she garnered the LHS Girls High Game Award and also earned the LHS Girls High Average Award during her senior year. She recorded the second highest game in the 2019 Garaway Holiday Tournament and rolled the third highest score at the Park Centre Holiday Tournament.

She was a member of the National Honor Society and the Student Social Justice Society at Louisville. Fouts helped coach at the LHS summer tennis camp, volunteered at the Stark County Humane Society, helped disabled high school students build soap box derby cars and also assisted in the concession stand at many football games.

"It is a pleasure to welcome such a fine young lady to our school and program," said Vera Fox, Head Women's Bowling Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "Carleen is a real go-getter and I fully expect her to come in and make a huge impact on our campus and team. She is very humble and one of those people who genuinely cares for those around her. She is a solid addition to our bowling roster and I look forward to helping her take her game to the next level."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
