Vera Fox has more than 30 years of combined experience as a bowling coach and most recently has been the Varsity Girl’s Bowling Coach for Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Ohio. She actually is the founder of the girl’s bowling program at CHS and has been named Stark County Bowling Conference Coach of the Year for seven (7) consecutive years. She was also tabbed as the Northeastern Buckeye Conference Coach of the Year for 2017-2018---the first year that bowling was recognized as a league sport in the NBC.

Her Warriors teams were crowned District Champs for the last two seasons, which qualified them for the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Championships. Vera has also been a Junior League bowling coach for 19 years, started bowling in 1978 and has participated in numerous tournaments at the local, city, state and national levels. Her experience as a bus driver at Carrollton and a classroom aide for special needs students shows she is a true educator and cares for the students she serves.

She has also been a 4-H advisor for 18 years and helps with activities through the Junior Fair. Additionally, Vera earned a certified bowling coach certificate---level one---through the United States Bowling Congress in 2004, and a Fundamentals of Coaching certificate through the USBC in 2007. She is also certified in First Aid/CPR, Concussion in Sports, and possesses a Pupil Activity Permit from the Ohio Department of Education. Vera’s coaching expertise and experience with the care of students in the Carrollton School District make her a well-qualified candidate as the Golden Eagles bowling coach.
