Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2018 James A. Garfield High School senior to their baseball team. Kyle Turrentine has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.
Turrentine was a three-sport letterman for the G-Men in baseball, football and basketball. He also won the Portage County Golden Glove Award during his senior season and was one of the top hitters on his high school team while playing shortstop and the outfield. He recently participated in the Diamond League Prospects Showcase. Turrentine has won a scholar-athlete award, the English Award and is on the James A. Garfield Honor Roll, earned an academic letter and has never earned less than a 3.8 GPA while in high school.
Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2018 Fairless High School senior to their baseball team. On June 10, 2018, Andrew Zimmer signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.
Zimmer was a three-year varsity letter winner for the Falcons baseball team and served as team captain his senior season when he also earned the Team MVP award. He led FHS in RBI’s during his final season and had a team-low 1.51 ERA as a pitcher. He was awarded the Ohio High School Athletic Association Scholar Athlete Award, was named to the Principal’s Athletic Conference First Team and was listed in the Stark County Stat Leaders for ERA. Zimmer also earned two varsity letters in golf and one in basketball.
Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2018 Fairless High School grad to their baseball team. On July 10, 2018, BJ Warehime signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles. BJ was a three-year letter winner for the Falcons baseball team and saw action primarily as a pitcher and third baseman.
Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2018 Cleveland Villa Angela St. Joseph High School senior to their baseball team. On June 13, 2018, Cole Seagroves signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles. Seagroves was a four-year letter winner for the Vikings baseball team and garnered Second Team All North Coast League (NCL) honors his senior year.
The Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles participated in their first-ever fall-ball season when they hosted Edison State Community College on Fondriest Field at Kent State Tuscarawas in early September. The Navy and Gold split the doubleheader winning the first game 2-0 and losing the nightcap 9-2.
