Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2018 Cleveland Villa Angela St. Joseph High School senior to their baseball team. On June 13, 2018, Cole Seagroves signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.

Seagroves was a four-year letter winner for the Vikings baseball team and garnered Second Team All North Coast League (NCL) honors his senior year. He was also tabbed as a starter for the NCL All Star team and received the Viking Team Spirit Award his final season. Seagroves earned NCL Honorable Mention honors his junior season.  He earned a four-year letter in soccer and received NCL Honorable Mention as a junior and lettered once in football. Academically, he earned Second Honors and has extensive volunteer experience. His community service includes stints at the Rosemary Center which serves children and adults with developmental disabilities, the Cleveland Food Bank Christmas party and the Christmas and Halloween on Campus event at VASJ for underprivileged children.

"Cole is a great addition to our campus and team," said Adam Wilson, Head Baseball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "He is a dedicated young man who has really accomplished a great deal, but I know he has more to give both on and off the field. He will be a major asset to our baseball team and give us much needed depth at middle infield and as a left handed batter."
