Big Blues Sweep DH With Convincing Win In Second Game

The Golden Eagles dropped the second game of a Saturday afternoon twin bill at Bluefield State by a score of 14-1. The Big Blues were in control throughout as they limited the Golden Eagles to just three hits in the final game of the day.

As he did in the opening game, freshman, Blaze Clark, led the Navy and Gold at the plate going 2/4 with a single and a homerun to account for the only run of the game. For the afternoon Clark was 4/7 with two singles, a homer, double and three runs scored.

So far this spring Clark is batting .563 and has belted two homeruns, to go along with 11 RBIs, two doubles and has scored five runs. The only other hit in the night cap came on a single from Cade Cummings.

The Golden Eagles are now 3-3 on the year and host Allegheny County Community College next Sunday.
