Kent State University Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2019 Conotton Valley High School (CVHS) graduate to their baseball team. On August 15, 2019, Nate Novak, signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball for the KSU Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.

Novak was a four-year letter winner for the Rockets and played third base, first base and pitched for the Green and Gold. He was named to the First Team of the East District, Ohio Valley Athletic Conference (OVAC) and the Inter Valley Conference (IVC) after his senior season. Known as a hitter with power, Novak earned Second Team East District and IVC honors in his junior year, while garnering East District Honorable Mention his freshman and sophomore seasons. He is well-liked by his team mates and helped build a concession stand at the baseball filed at the Tuscarawas Park as part of his community service component at CVHS.

"Nate really has a live bat and we welcome him to our team" said Josh Jarvis, Head Baseball Coach at Kent State Tuscarawas. "He is certainly capable of playing at the corners and even has relief experience on the mound. The thing that really strikes me about him is his eye at the plate. He makes solid contact and greets the ball with a loud smack every time he steps into the box. We look forward to his ability to produce runs for our team."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
