Pirates Haynes Inks With Golden Eagles Baseball

Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2024 Garaway High School senior to their baseball team.

Caden Haynes recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles.

Haynes, primarily a utility player was a two-year letter winner for the Pirates baseball team who play in the South Division of the Inter Valley Conference in the East District. He had an on-base percentage of .400 and while pitching maintained 4.00 ERA throughout summer league play. He also was a two-year letter winner for the Garaway wrestling team as a freshman and sophomore.

"Caden was a huge asset to the Pirates and we think he will be just as important for our team", said Cole Morozek, Head Baseball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "He has a solid glove and can fill in at just about any position on the field. He is well-liked by his peers, has a high baseball acuity and really pushes himself. He's one of those young men that when you meet him, you feel like you already know him. Besides very personable and relatable, he's a pretty gifted athlete as well."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
