Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2024 Massillon Washington High School senior to their baseball team.

On October 18, 2023, Nicholas Paul signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles.

Paul is a two-year letter winner and starter for the Tigers football team who play as a Division I Independent in the Northeast District. He is a member the offensive and defensive lines. He also played for several travel baseball teams, including the Ohio Tigers 18u team where he was a third baseman and designated hitter. The Ohio Tigers are coach by KSU Tusc Head Baseball Coach Cole Morozek.

Academically, he has made the Honor and Merit Rolls five times each during his high school career. His DECA team placed third in the Marketing Management category at the district level, while his team also took top honors in the Law and Ethics category. He is a two-time DECA state qualifier in marketing and is a member of the National Speech and Debate Association.

His community service includes helping raise $5000 annually for the breast cancer and Alzheimer's research foundations. He has also volunteered at IMPACT – Massillon, the First Assembly of God church, the Faith & Action Health Fair and the City of Massillon's holiday candle walk and holiday parade.

He will pursue a Bachelor's of Business Administration / Business Management degree at Kent State Tuscarawas.

"Nick Paul is the ultimate team guy and a very smart and grounded young man," said Cole Morozek, Head Baseball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. " Offensively, Nick can hit the ball over the fence at any moment. He will come right in and be a middle of the order type hitter right away with his power and defensively will help us out at first base."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
