Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2024 North Canton Hoover High School senior to their baseball team.

Camden Mirocke recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles.

Mirocke is on track to be a two-year letterman for the Vikings baseball team. He runs a speedy 6.6 second, 60 meter dash and also plays for the Ohio Tigers 18u travel baseball team where he was a middle infielder and hit .390 in the summer of 2023 while completing his year round training. Mirocke was nominated for 2023 offensive MVP for the Tigers playing as the starting Second Baseman. This past summer, he went a perfect 20/20 in stolen bases for the Tigers who are coached by KSU Tusc Head Baseball Coach Cole Morozek.

He has been a part of the Young Life church group during all four years of high school. He volunteered for two years at a local preschool and is very dedicated to his family, helping his disabled father on a weekly basis with yard maintenance and household chores.

Mirocke will pursue a Bachelors of Business Administration/Business Management degree at Kent State Tuscarawas.

"Cam is highly instinctive on the bases and is as good as any base runner I've ever seen," said KSU Tuscarawas Head Baseball Coach Cole Morozek. "Offensively, he sprays the ball to all fields and can really lay bunts down with the best of them. Defensively he will help shore us up at second base and in the outfield. Pitching wise Cam will throw out of the bullpen and he possess a low 80's fastball as well as a wicked curve. We are proud to have him as our newest Golden Eagles baseball player."

Cam Mirocke and his family celebrate his LOI signing to play Golden Eagles baseball.
