At Mary Carroll he carries a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA and will pursue a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Business Management degree at Kent State Tuscarawas.

"Tyler is very strong and has a huge frame," said KSU Tuscarawas Head Baseball Coach Cole Morozek. "He brings a great work ethic and the best attitude a coach can ask for. Tyler is going to come in and compete right away and playing Texas high school baseball he's definitely been battle tested.
