Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2024 Cedarville High School senior to their baseball team.

On Wednesday, James Dray signed a National Letter of Intent to suit up for the Golden Eagles.

Dray is on track to be a four-year letter winner for the Indians. He was selected as Team Captain by his teammates for the 2023 season and as a junior he earned Honorable Mention All-League in the Ohio Heritage Conference.

He also attends Greene County Career Center, where he is enrolled in the electrical wiring and motor controls program, while serving an internship with a local electric company. He has a 3.0 GPA and is working toward an electrician journeyman's license.

In the summer he serves at a Christian camp in Michigan, and recently completed a two-year leadership program. He also volunteers in the children's ministry at his church and has served the community by assisting with local Christmas and summer festivals. Along with his family he helps raise service dogs for children and veterans.

Dray will pursue a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Business Management at Kent State Tuscarawas.

"James plays for one the top travel organizations----Next Level---in the state of Ohio," said Cole Morozek, Head Baseball Coach at Kent State Tuscarawas. "He will have an immediate impact on the bump with a low to mid 80s fastball, curve and slider in his arsenal. He will compete for some innings at first base as well and is the very definition of a hard worker with a great attitude."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
