Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2024 Northrop High School (Fort Wayne, IN) senior to their baseball team.

On Thursday afternoon, Jayden Stout signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles.

Stout, primarily a P/1B, is on track to be a three-year varisty letterwinner for the Bruins baseball team. He led the brown and orange pitching staff in the least amount of walks surrendered, was in the top three in the fewest earned runs allowed, and was fifth in total innings pitched, strikeouts and ERA. He batted .252 last season and also lettered twice as a defensive end for the NHS football team who play in the Summit Athletic Conference.

He has a cumulative 3.66 grade point average and major in mechanical engineering at Kent State Tuscarawas. Stout volunteers for numerous youth baseball/softball camps in his local community.

"Jayden will be a two-way player for us and will compete as a southpaw on the mound as well as in the outfield.," said KSU Tuscarawas Head Baseball Coach Cole Morozek. "He will be a valuable option as a lefty out of the bullpen and is a high character guy. His football experience gives evidence that he can be a hard-nosed player and we are excited to get that toughness from Jayden at KSU Tusc."

Jayden Stout is joined by his father Erik, mother Rhonda and brother Connor on his signing day.
