Kent State University Tuscarawas Golden Eagles could not keep pace with Rochester Christian University 8-4 on Saturday.
Kent State University Tuscarawas Golden Eagles opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Kent State University Tuscarawas Golden Eagles first got on the board when Nathan Ashcraft singled, scoring one run.
Rochester Christian University took the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Cael Kuzinski singled down the right field line, Luke Jayaraman singled to the left side of the infield, Jack Larue walked, and Aiden Alspaugh grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.
Rochester Christian University scored one run in the bottom of the sixth on a solo home run to center field by Jayaraman.
Brenton Billman took the loss for Kent State University Tuscarawas Golden Eagles. The starting pitcher went five innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on five hits, striking out five and walking five. Ian Nitterhouse led things off on the hill for Rochester Christian University. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and two runs over two innings, striking out one and walking two.

Kent State University Tuscarawas Golden Eagles had trouble keeping up with Rochester Christian University in an 11-1 loss on Saturday.
A single by Donovan Tucker put Kent State University Tuscarawas Golden Eagles on the board in the top of the first.
Rochester Christian University made the score 4-1 in the bottom of the first after Luke Jayaraman doubled, scoring one run, and Aiden Alspaugh homered to left field, scoring three runs.
Rochester Christian University scored two runs in the bottom of the second on a home run to left field by Jayaraman.
Rochester Christian University scored one run in the bottom of the fifth on a solo home run to center field by Alspaugh.
Collin Powers earned the win for Rochester Christian University. The reliever gave up three hits and zero runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking two. Cayden Castillo took the loss for Kent State University Tuscarawas Golden Eagles. The hurler went one inning, giving up five runs on two hits, striking out three and walking three. Nick Marcelletti opened the game for Rochester Christian University. The hurler gave up zero hits and one run over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking none.
Jeremy Patchett and Tucker were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Kent State University Tuscarawas Golden Eagles while hitting back-to-back. Tucker led Kent State University Tuscarawas Golden Eagles with one run batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 2-for-3 on the day.
