After leading just 46-40 at halftime, the Hiram College Terriers used a 20-5 run to close out the game and down the Golden Eagles 97-66 at Price Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon. The second half was a little different than the first when there were six ties and six lead changes as KSU Tuscarawas gave Hiram all they wanted but fell short. Hiram went up by 15 points early in the final half of play before the Golden Eagles trimmed the lead to 71-60 and the Terriers took the wheel again outscoing the Navy and Gold 20-5 down the stretch to pull away.

During the decisive stretch, the Golden Eagles committed the bulk of their 20 turnovers on the day that lead to 30 Hiram points.

Despite shooting a season-best 13/15 from the free throw line for 87% and converting on 11/27 three-point shots for 41%, the Golden Eagles could not keep up with the Terriers down the stretch who outscored Eagles 60-20 in the paint. 

Gunnar Tharp led the Golden Eagles with 17 points, while Malik Campbell and Drew Williams both contributed 14 points. Williams was 4/5 from behind the three-point arc, while Campbell was also the team's leading rebounder with 8 boards. Jacob Hicks grabbed six caroms and added nine points as well.

KSU Tuscarawas is now 2-11 on the season and steps back into USCAA play on Friday, January 4, 2019 when they travel to Penn State Beaver for a 7 p.m. start.
