Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the recent signing of a 2019 Newcomerstown High School senior to their Men's Basketball team. On July 1st, 2019, J'Marea Sterns signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.

Sterns, a shooting guard, is a two-year letter winner for the Trojans where he was the Offensive MVP for the team his junior year.  During his career, J'Marea earned All-District Honorable Mention and was selected as captain for the team.

"J'Marea brings new experiences that will add to our team," said Rich Tharp, Head Men's Basketball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "He is working hard this offseason to prepare his body and skills for the college level.  J'Marea has a chance to contribute as long as he keeps working hard in the gym and on the courts."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
