The Kent State at Tuscarawas basketball team is ranked for the first-time ever in their four-year history as members of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). The coaches poll was released late Wednesday night and the Golden Eagles are just inside the Top 15 at #14 in USCAA D-II. They were unranked before this week's voting.

Currently on a five-game win streak, the Navy and Gold have also won eight of their last 10 games. Last week's road wins over ranked teams, Villa Maria College in Buffalo, Andrews University near Chicago, Penn State Beaver in Monaca, PA and a blowout win (91-67) at home avenging an early season loss were key to the rise in the rankings. On Monday, KSU Tusc defeated USCAA 14th ranked D-I University of Maine – Fort Kent 61-60, but that game was not included in the current rankings since voting had closed earlier in the day. The Golden Eagles have also recorded double-digits in wins (10-9) for the first-time since joining the USCAA four years ago.

Next up for the Golden Eagles is a doubleheader weekend. They host Wright State Lake on Saturday, January 25th at 3:00 p.m. and Andrews University on Sunday, January 26th at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door for each game.
