The wait is over for the Kent State Tuscarawas men's basketball team.

It's been 349 days since the Golden Eagles have taken the hardcourt against an opponent, but on Saturday, they travel to Springfield, Ohio and will end their playing drought. COVID-19 delayed the start of the season which was supposed to commence on October 25, 2020.

The Navy and Gold will take on host Clark State at 3:00 p.m. on January 30 in a battle for the skies---both team's mascots are the Golden Eagles. Spectators are not allowed to attend the game, but a live video stream will be available on the Clark State Athletics YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtMn1_NOCVLOAZMssEGzFBA

KSU Tusc will soar into the Applied Science Center Gymnasium with six new faces on the roster. Five of the newcomers are incoming freshmen and two are junior transfers, while the remaining three players are letter winners from last season's USCAA 12th ranked team.

Last year's edition finished 16-12 after winning just five games over each of the two previous seasons. The Eagles began the 2019-20 with a 2-7 record, but went 14-5 after December and put together a six-game and five-game win streak in the new year. The Golden Eagles ranked in the Top 10 in five team categories and four players averaged double figure scoring for the season.
