On paper, Kent State Tuscarawas (15-6) and Owens Community College (6-13) are on different ends of the spectrum. On the court however, you find out why teams play the games, but this time the results were a perfect match in an Eagles 94-75 romp over the Express.

The Golden Eagles played a solid first 20 minutes after a three-and-one-half hour drive to Perrysburg, OH, just south of Toledo and led 43-33 at halftime. The tandem of Kameron Shockley and Javier Ward scored 26 of the Eagles first half output, as they attacked the basket at will with Ward's speed and Shockley's euro style moves.

Nine different KSU Tusc players had hands in a 51-point second half outburst led by Kyle Shockley's 12 second half tallies. The Eagles offensive efficiency controlled the game and their defense also helped set the tone creating many opportunities on the KSU end of the floor.

Kyle Shockley paced the No. 4 ranked Golden Eagles in scoring with 19 points as one-half of the team's 10 scorers broke into the double-digit column. Kameron Shockley scored 18, Ward 17, Braden Rostad 12 that included three triples and Vinny Roper added 10.

It was an important trip for the navy and gold---now 16-6---as they prepare for a pair of road games at USCAA, DII, No. 2 Cincinnati Clermont and Miami Hamilton this weekend.

They take on the Cougars at 3PM on Saturday and the Harriers at the same tipoff time on Sunday before returning home.

Kameron Shockley scored 15 first half points and finished with 18 points against the Express.
