Kameron Shockley Earns USCAA DII POTW

For the second time in his career, the Golden Eagles Kameron Shockley has been selected as the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, DII, Player-of-the-Week. Shockley is a senior post player for Kent State Tuscarawas.

In victories over Penn Highlands and Bryant & Stratton Buffalo last week, Shockley scored a total of 58 points (29 ppg), shot 73% from the floor making 24-33 field goal attempts, was 7-10 from the free throw line (70%) and cleared 18 rebounds (9 rpg). He scored 26 points in 28 minutes against the Black Bears and tallied 32 points in 32 minutes versus the Bobcats while converting on 14-17 field goal tries. For good measure he added 8 assists, 6 steals and 4 blocked shots in the two games.

Shockley averages 18 ppg on the season and has scored 432 points this season. He is the second leading scorer on the Golden Eagles roster and has scored in double figures in 20 of 23 games, has 13 double-doubles and was KSU Tusc's leading scorer 9 times. He had a season high of 32 points and 19 rebounds in one game.

On the season, he has 49 blocked shots (5th overall), committed 57 steals (13th), dished out 100 assists (12th), is second in defensive rebounds with 193, sixth in total rebounds (246) and fifth overall with a 10.3 rebound per game average.

He was an Honorable Mention All-American USCAA selection for the 2022-23 season and was named USCAA D II Player of the Week in 2021.
