The Golden Eagles solid win over Miami Hamilton on Saturday afternoon not only assured them of a USCAA National Basketball Championship bid, but it also locked them into the No. 4 seed in the tournament----their highest seed since joining the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.

With the invitation KSU Tuscarawas will begin tournament play in a Division 2 Small College Quarterfinal game on Monday, March 11 at 2:00 pm versus No. 5 seed Penn State Greater Allegheny. The two teams were supposed to have met during the regular season, but the Lions cancelled the game which was never rescheduled.

The Eagles and PSU GA will take to the court at Virginia State University in Pertersburg, VA, with identical 21-9 records. A semifinal round game is in the offing for the winner on Tuesday, March 12 at 2:00 pm and the opponent could very well be No. 1 ranked and top seeded Cincinnati Clermont---a team the Eagles split with during the regular season. KSU Tusc also finished with the No. 1 schedule in the power rankings, while UCC ranked #2, Hamilton #3 and Greater Allegheny #4. Three of the top four teams are in the same bracket at the championships.
