Golden Eagles Finish 8th in Prestigious Gatorade Collegiate

The Kent State Tuscarawas golf team was invited to play in the annual Gatorade Collegiate held at Zoar Golf Club and finished eighth in the 10-team field. The two-day event started off well for the Golden Eagles who shot 313 after day one and found themselves in seventh place, just nine strokes from being in the top five.

Colton Fender (Garaway HS / Dundee, OH) led the navy and gold on day one with a round of 76, while Jacob Moore (River View HS / Coshocton, OH) and Jordan Delillo (Fairless HS / Beach City, OH) both carded rounds of 77. Kade Rainsberg (Dover HS / Dover, OH) rounded out the scoring with an 83 coming home in 39 on the inward nine. 

On the final day of the tournament, Jake Moore shot 37/38/75 to lead the Golden Eagles who struggled to finish on the second day and shot 328 for a two-day total of 641. The final day dropped the Eagles into eighth place for the tournament which was won by Baldwin Wallace with a 290/292/582.
