The Kent State Tuscarawas golf team finished in the Top 10 for the third consecutive season at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Golf Championships, as they opened with a team total 308---their lowest round of the year---and rode the momentum into day two where they carded a 315 to capture eighth place in a field of 25 qualifying teams.

The championship was held on the Blue Course at Penn State University in State College, PA, where the Golden Eagles had finished in ninth place for two straight years.

This year was different as three Golden Eagles shot rounds of 76, while the team combined to convert on an eagle, 10 birdies and 37 pars on their opening round. Jacob Moore (River View HS / Coshocton, OH), Jordan Delillo (Fairless HS / Beach City, OH) and Kade Rainsberg (Dover HS / Dover, OH) all shot 76, while Colton Fender (Garaway HS / Dundee, OH) had an 80.

On day two, Moore shot a round of two-over par 74 with three birdies on the inward nine and Fender rebounded with a 79 making a birdie on his final hole. Delillo finished with an 80 and Rainsberg carded an 82 as the Eagles secured their highest finish in the championships.
