Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2019 North Union High School senior to their golf team. On February 6, 2019, Nick Reeder signed a National Letter of Intent to play golf for the Golden Eagles.

Reeder was a three-year letter winner for the Wildcats golf team and garnered Second Team Mid Ohio Athletic Conference (MOAC) honors in both his junior and senior seasons, while also being one of his team's top two scorer for the same period. He won two individual tournaments during his senior season, one held at North Star Golf Club in Sunbury, OH and the other at The Heritage Club in Mason, Ohio. He finished T9th as an individual in the MOAC Championship and placed 8th of 32 golfers in the North Union Invitational. He is also a member of the North Union baseball team. The high school is located in Richwood, Ohio which is located just north of Marysville. He will major in accounting at Kent State Tuscarawas.

"Nick is a wonderful young man and we are proud to have signed him," said Rob Brindley, Head Golf Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "He is a solid student and will come right in and vie for a playing position. He's a lanky left-handed golfer who can hit for distance and I look forward to his persistence in helping us raise the bar to the championship level. He is dedicated student of the game and will definitely make us better."
