Golden Eagles senior, Nick Reeder, carded 13 pars and a birdie to tie for seventh place as an individual in the Grove City Fall Invitational on Thursday. As a team the Eagles finished 10th of 14 teams in the heavy NCAA D-III field on a sun-splashed day in northwestern Pennsylvania.

Reeder went out in 41, as he started on the back nine and finished the front side with a one under par 35 recording his only birdie of the day on the final hole of the opening nine. He began play on the 15th hole and parred 10 holes in a row before making a four at the par 5, 525 yard ninth hole.

Three of the five KSU Tusc golfers had never even seen Grove City Country Club before, but they gained some valuable insight for future rounds there. Cole Eltringham backed up Reeder's effort with a 44/42/86, while Cameron McIntosh shot 44/43/87 and Trent Marsh added a round of 46/43/89 for a team total of 338.

The Eagles finished ahead of Thiel, Point Park University, Waynesburg College and Pitt Greensburg and were just seven strokes from placing in the top seven of the tournament.

On Saturday, the Eagles travel to Middletown for the Thunderhawk Invitational.
