The Golden Eagles golfers traveled without a full squad to Wildwood Golf Club in Middletown on Saturday for an individual stroke play tournament. It was a great event for the underclassmen to participate in nearing the mid season and they made the most of it.

Sophomore, Scottie Sauernheimer, had a virtual field day in his first-ever foray in a stroke play tournament and carded eight pars and three birdies on the afternoon. He went out in 38 and come home in 39 to shoot a round of 77 to finish---his lowest round of the season and collegiate career---to T2nd overall in a field of golfers representing four universities.

Not to be outdone, freshman Trent Marsh also had his best round of the season by shooting a 42/40/82 and finished fifth overall. He had 10 pars on the afternoon with five on each side of the course. Not known as a long hitter off the tee, he parred three of the four par five holes on the day.

On Monday, the Golden Eagles travel to New Castle, PA, to play in the Westminster Titan Invitational.
