Neither remnants of rain and wind from Hurricane Ian, nor the chilly low 50-degree temperatures could thwart the golf team's ability to grind out a win in the Ohio University Lancaster Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles manufactured a team total of 338 on the hills of Valley View Golf Club to claim the title, as they amassed 35 pars and three birdies on the rock-hard greens. Senior captain, Nick Reeder, led the day once again converting on 11 pars---six on the outward nine---and five coming home as he shot 41/40/81 to finish second as an individual overall.

Not to be denied, Scottie Sauernheimer went out in 44, but carded a birdie on the first hole of the back nine and added four pars a round of 38 and a score of 82 for the day. He finished third as an individual. Also scoring were Cameron McIntosh (43/44/87) and Cole Eltringham (44/44/88).

On Sunday the Golden Eagles travel to DuBois, PA, for their final regular season tournament before the USCAA National Championships in State College, PA, on Penn State's Blue Course on October 9-11.
