Led by senior Nick Reeder, the Golden Eagles golf team captured their sixth consecutive Top 10 finish in the USCAA National Golf Championships on Tuesday at the Penn State Blue Course in State College, PA.

Reeder fired a one over par 73 on the final day of competition to earn USCAA First Team All American honors, scoring a two-day total of 154 after shooting an opening round 81. In the final round, he converted on three birdies and four pars while going out in 35 and added four more pars and two birdies coming home in 38.

For the 36-hole tournament Reeder had 14 pars, seven birdies and an eagle. He tied for sixth place overall in a field of 112 golfers and is Kent State's Tuscarawas' first two-time golf All-American, having earned USCAA Second Team accolades last year as a junior.

As a team, the Golden Eagles shot a two-day total of 336/335/671 and finished 10th of 19 teams invited to be in the field. It was the sixth consecutive time in as many years that KSU Tusc has garnered a Top 10 finish in the USCAA National Golf Championships. They were just four strokes shy of sixth place.

Cole Eltringham shot 82/86/168 and carded 14 pars and four birdies, while Cameron McIntosh had a two-day total of 84/86/170 with 14 pars and two birdies. Nicholas Wolverton went 90/91/181 as did Scottie Sauernheimer with rounds of 91/90/181.

The Golden Eagles have finished their fall season and will be idle until Spring 2023 when they begin a five-tournament non-conference schedule.
