The KSU Tuscarawas Men's Golf Team scratched out a fourth place finish in their own tournament on Friday afternoon at Oak Shadows Golf Club in New Philadelphia, OH. The Golden Eagles shot a team score of 338 which was four strokes from third place, but a little distance behind tournament champion Waynesburg College (320).

Finishing in second place by a single stroke was two-time defending invitational champ Geneva College (321) and third place went to Bethany College's 'A' team with a 334. Medalist honors went to Waynesburg's Alan Tarolli with a three under par final nine and round of 40/33/73.

The navy and gold were led by Cole Eltringham's score of 80. He made three pars on the outward nine to go along with a birdie on the 365-yard, par 4, third to card a 43, but came home in fine fashion going one under par on holes 10 thru 15 and finished with a par to notch a one over par 37.

Austen Gunn made seven pars in a round of 43/42/85, Connor Rippeth made five pars and a birdie shooting 44/42/86 and Drew Gallant made eight pars and scored a season low of 43/44/87.

Up next for the Golden Eagles is a trip to the Waynesburg College Invitational on September 30th at Nemacolin Golf Resort in Farmington, PA.
