Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2019 River View High School senior to their softball team. On March 13, 2019,  Kelsie Williamson was one of two area players who signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.

Williamson is a three-year letter winner for the Black Bears softball team and earned Second Team East Central Ohio League honors as a junior. She is known as a quiet leader and has been named as a Scholar Athlete for two consecutive years at River View High School. She is also a two-year member of the National Honor Society and Tri-M. She will major in early childhood education at KSU Tuscarawas.

"We are grateful to have a player of Kelsie's caliber commit to our program," said Chuck Peach, Head Softball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "She has great speed and is the kind of player who will immediately raise the level of our team. Kelsie will earn her fourth varsity letter this year and that experience combined with her solid academic record, will translate into great things for her at KSU Tuscarawas."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
