Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2019 Cambridge High School senior to their softball team. On March 14, 2019,  Brianna Stewart signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.

Stewart is a three-year letter winner for the Bobcats softball team and earned All-Ohio honors during her junior year. She was also named to the Second Team of the East Central Ohio League as a junior. In 2016 and 2017, Stewart was named MVP of her traveling softball teams---Fury and Thunder. She earned one varsity letter in soccer and made Second Honors for academics during her freshman and sophomore years at CHS.

"Adding Brianna to our team will give us lots of speed in the outfield and on the base paths," said Chuck Peach, Head Softball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "She is a very smart player and has become one of the most reliable players and team mates for the Cambridge High softball team. She is a real student of the game and wants to win every play, not simply every game and her competitive edge will improve our team immensely."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
