Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the recent signing of a second 2019 Cambridge High School senior to their softball team. Kierra Treadway has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles joining her current CHS teammate Brianna Stewart.

Treadway, a catcher, is a three-year letter winner for the Bobcats softball team and earned Second Team East District honors as a junior.  She has also earned one-year letters in soccer and basketball and has earned more than 60 community service hours. From keeping stats for the wrestling team, working at the concession stand and being a staff photographer for the CHS Yearbook---CANTAB---Treadway has been very active on campus and in the community. She plans to major in psychology at Kent State Tuscarawas.

"Kierra is a great defensive catcher and we need her skills behind the plate," said Chuck Peach, Head Softball for Kent State Tuscarawas. "She has a great work ethic, is very spirited and loves to be in charge on the diamond. I know that she will be a great asset as an on-field coach and inspiration to her new teammates. Having two players from Cambridge not only makes us instantly better, but helps with the transition and team chemistry at the next level."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
