"We are very fortunate to have a person of Kaitlyn's caliber coming to Kent State Tuscarawas," said Chuck Peach, Head Softball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "She is a phenomenal athlete and will come in and be a major contributor right away as a freshman. Her leadership ability is off the charts, as evidenced by the support she received from her teammates at her signing. People know her for her offensive skills, but she is an excellent fielder as well and can play nearly every position."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
