Her community service includes volunteerism for Vacation Bible School, Haven of Rest, Haven of Portage County, Portage County Dog Warden, the Hattie Larlham Center and as a Sunday School teacher. Legg also coaches a 12u softball team and is a pitching coach at Darrah's All-Star Academy.

She will pursue a nursing degree at Kent State Tuscarawas.

"I have known Ashley and her family since she was 10 years old," said KSU Tuscarawas Head Softball Coach Larry Schall. "Ashley played for me in a local recreation softball league eight years ago and since then, she has worked harder than most people could ever imagine. Her family has stayed in contact with me over the years, so this is a pretty awesome moment, having her play collegiate ball with me as her coach again. She is extremely intelligent and is also a force in the circle. She has a dominant mound presence and puts a lot of velocity behind her pitches."
