Wehler commits to KSU Tusc

Kent State University Tuscarawas is excited to announce the signing of Jalen Wehler, a 2025 senior from Olentangy Orange High School,  

Wehler has been a standout athlete for the Olentangy Orange Pioneers, earning recognition both on the field and in the classroom. Over her career, Jalen has played 364 games and had 730 at-bats, posting an impressive .411 batting average, 303 runs scored, 300 hits, and 215 RBIs—demonstrating her consistency, power, and leadership on the field. 

Academically, Jalen has earned the title of Scholar Athlete and maintains an outstanding GPA of 4.447. She also completed the Teacher Academy program during her high school years, showcasing her commitment to education and personal development. 

Beyond athletics and academics, Jalen has dedicated her time to community service. She has volunteered at the Holiday Clearing House in Delaware, made blankets for the Ronald McDonald House, and created crafts for senior citizens—highlighting her compassion and desire to give back to those in need. 

Head Softball Coach Larry Schall expressed his enthusiasm about her signing, stating, "We are thrilled to have Jalen join our team. Her athletic achievements, work ethic, and character make her a perfect fit for our program. With her talent and leadership, we are confident she will be a key asset to the Golden Eagles in the 2025 season."
