
Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2025 Tusky Valley High School senior to their softball team.
On Wednesday, Arieana Wade signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles.
Wade, a standout athlete and three-year letter winner for the Tusky Valley Trojans, has been a key contributor throughout her high school career. She earned Honorable Mention honors in both her sophomore and junior seasons and is helping lead the Trojans through an undefeated 2024 season. This year, she tied the school's single-season home run record and currently ranks third in the Inter-Valley Conference (IVC) for highest batting average.
Academically, Wade has completed four to six years in the nationally recognized Project Lead The Way (PLTW) STEM program, placing in several competitions. She has shown consistent academic dedication while balancing the demands of athletics.
Her community involvement includes volunteering over 80 hours running the concession stand at local youth softball tournaments in Dover, supporting players from ages 8U to 14U

Her leadership qualities and her ability to perform under pressure will be a great asset to our team.
