Kent State University Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2019 Columbiana High School graduate to their women's basketball team. On July 18, 2019, Kennedy Fullum, signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.

Fullum was a four-year varsity letter winner for the Clippers girl's basketball team and also earned three letters in softball. She eclipsed the 1000-point scoring plateau her senior year, while finishing her career with 1,207 points which places her as the third all-time leading scorer in the history of Columbiana girl's basketball. She was recently named Honorable Mention All Northeast Ohio in division three hoops, earned a spot on the All Columbiana County basketball team four times---twice on the first team and twice on the second team, while she also earned Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference (EOAC) honors four times and landing a spot on the first team three times. She was selected to play in the EOAC All-Star game, the Columbiana County All-Star Game and the YSU Live All-Star game after her senior season. She also received the two-year captain award.  In softball, Fullum was named to the EOAC team twice and the All-Columbiana County team three times. She struck out just five teams in her entire varsity softball career.

After earning a 4.0 GPA and making the Honor Roll in all four years of high school, Fullum was inducted into the Ohio National Honor Society her senior year. She has an extensive volunteer record that includes coaching during the 4-6 grade basketball tournament and was a swim instructor for three years. She won the Courage Award at Columbiana after playing in 14 basketball games with a broken fibula during her sophomore season.

"There's not much I can say that her resume doesn't already say about her" said Wallace Stuchul, Head Women's Basketball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "She is a very gifted athlete and student, a real shining star in everything she does. We are very fortunate to have a person and player of her caliber coming to us. I know that Kennedy can accomplish a lot more in her career and she has the skills to do so. She is a real hidden gem and her star will be shining for at least four more years."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
